Q: How do I make a reservation?
Making a reservation is a breeze! Visit our website, select your preferred dates and location, choose the campervan that suits your needs, and follow the easy booking process. After you make the payment, a confirmation mail will be sent to your email, once the booking is accepted.
Q: What documents do I need for rental?
You need a valid driver's license in English or accompanied by an International driving permit if not in English. A credit card (Visa or Mastercard) in your name and at least $NZ3500 available.
Q: I have Travel Insurance, which covers damage to the vehicle. Do I need to pay the Nomad Campers vehicle insurance as well??
A standard excess/Bond of NZ$3200 applies (you can choose to reduce, please ask for a quote). In the event of vehicle damage or Nomad incurring costs to 3rd party property from your hire, you will be liable for the applicable excess. Your travel insurance may cover you for this, but this agreement is between your travel insurer and yourself. Make sure you read the terms and conditions carefully of your insurance.
Q: Are there any age restrictions for renting a campervan?
Drivers must be at least 19 years old,
(the bond is increased to NZ$3500 for drivers under 25 years) there's no upper age limit. Just make sure you have a valid driver's license, and you're good to go!
Q: Can I take the campervan across islands?
Absolutely! Our campervans are free to roam both the North and South Islands but are not to be driven off of sealed roads.
Q: What's included in the rental price?
Your rental sleepervan includes , basic kitchen ware, 24/7 roadside assistance. Bedding is included and complimentary on hires of 10 days or more, it can be supplied for hires of 9 days or less at $80 for the hire. Additional extras are available e.g. picnic table, chairs for a fee.
