Refund and Returns Policy

At Nomad Rentals, we strive to ensure your satisfaction with our campervan rental services. Please review our return and refund policy to understand your rights and responsibilities.

1. Reservation Cancellations:

  • Cancellations made at least 50 days prior to the reserved start date are eligible for a full refund.
  • 70% Refund: Cancellations made between 30 and 49 days before the start date will receive a 70% refund.
  • 50% Refund: Cancellations made between 15 and 29 days before the start date will receive a 50% refund.
  • No Refund: Cancellations made less than 15 days before the start date are non-refundable.
  • No Refund: No refunds will be provided for early returns or unused days within the rental period.

3. Changes to Reservation Dates:

  • Free Rescheduling: Changes to reservation dates are allowed up to 60 days before the start date without any additional fees, subject to availability.
  • Fees Apply: Rescheduling within 59 days of the start date may incur a $50 fee per change, and changes are subject to availability.

4. Damages and Cleanliness:

  • Security Deposit: A security deposit of $3200 is required upon pick-up. Damages, excessive cleaning fees, or missing items or costs incurred by Nomad resulting from your hire e.g an accident or damage to 3rd party property may be deducted from the deposit.
  • Return in Clean Condition: Campervans must be returned in a reasonably clean condition. Excessive cleaning fees may apply if the camper requires more than standard cleaning.
  • No Smoking or pets allowed in our vehicles.
  • No driving off of sealed roads e.g No beaches etc.

5. Refund Processing:

  • Timeline: Refunds, when applicable, will be processed within 7-14 business days from the date of cancellation or completion of the rental.
  • Method: Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used during the reservation.

6. No-Show Policy:

  • Non-Refundable: If you fail to pick up the reserved campervan without prior notice, you

  • Unforeseen Circumstances: In cases of unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters or other events beyond control, we may work with customers on a case-by-case basis to find a fair solution.
  • We recommend that you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy before starting your NZ trip.
